(Minimum of 40 hours
required Inspection time plus added time to create report!)
- We will contract with multiple Homeowners to allow our students to
inspect multiple homes for the purposes of completing the 40 hours of Home Inspections
under the direction of a Licensed Home Inspector in New York State. The hours
will accrue for the inspections only, and we will require each student to
submit a completed inspection for each home completed as part of the program.
Time taken to write each inspection after the inspection does not count
towards the 40 hours. Only the actual inspection time certified by the
Licensed Home Inspector at the home will count towards the 40 hours of time.
-
- Our goal is to obtain 10-15+ homes over a
4-5 week period. Each student
will select the homes they wish to inspect to achieve 40+ inspection hours. The inspection dates and times
will be published and distributed in class, and each inspection will be under
the direct supervision of a Licensed Home Inspector who will certify your
attendance and performance for each inspection. Expect that you will be
inspecting between 10-12 homes depending upon the actual time required per
inspection. You will Not receive a certificate until you have completed 40
actual hours of inspections.
-
- YOU WILL BE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO SIGN UP FOR MODULE 5 DURING CLASS
ONCE ALL THE HOMES HAVE BEEN CONTRACTED FOR BY SCHOOL. IF YOU WISH TO ALLOW A HOME TO BE USED AS PART OF THIS PROGRAM
(MODULE 5) LET US KNOW WHEN YOU ENROLL IN Modules 1-4- WE ARE ALSO ACTIVELY ADVERTISING FOR
BONAFIDE HOMES TO BE USED IN
MODULE 5 (Through Pennysaver and Homes Magazine) SO ONCE WE FIND AND SECURE 12-15 HOMES WE CLOSE MODULE 5 HOUSES
AND ENROLL A LIMITED NUMBER OF STUDENTS FOR THE 40 HOUR INSPECTION PROGRAM.
-
- We further request each student actually complete an Inspection of
each home and submit it to the school as further proof of their attendance,
and participation. The Licensed Home Inspector will directly supervise your
activities at each home. You will be responsible for actually performing the
inspection yourself. The Licensed Inspectors is there to help and assist,
not to do your inspection for you. This is a great way to explore what you
have learned in school and put it to work in the field.
-
